It was a mediocre hotel. The room was not very clean. The tub was stained and dirty. The carpet was stained. There was no conditioner or hand soap upon arrival. We contacted the front desk and was given conditioner fairly quick (about 15 minutes). We ran out of body wash in the middle of showering. The hairdryer had very low voltage and it took forever to dry our hair. The beds were clean. Ian at the front desk was attentive and provided excellent service.

Our reservation was wrong, we booked Tuesday and Wednesday nights. They reached out Monday, and I was thinking they were just trying to be prepared for the follwing day. No they expected us that night, I sent them a screen shot of my itinerary and told them when i would be in. Got no response, they tried to charge my card. I reached out again, no response. The next day they tried to charge my card for 2 nights. And I haven't heard from them since. Communic1 star.

Very dirty. Furniture old, worn and torn. Bed made horrible banging noise every time you moved. Never did get towels or housekeeping service in 4 nights. Very poor water pressure in the shower. Left message for manager, who said he tried to call us in room and on cell phone, but that is not true.

Great place to sleep comfortably and soundly.

My best friend and I booked our stay at this hotel because it was so close to the MGM casino where we had tickets to a show. The check-in process went quickly and the room was wonderful. The free breakfast was great, with many tasty choices. We plan to book this same hotel next year when return to the area.

Considering the moderate cost, this Hampton Inn is a very solid value. It's located adjacent to a highway (3 or 4 lanes each way), with a car dealer across the street. It doesn't offer a desirable view, and there isn't anything useful or interesting within walking distance. But Alexandria's Old Town is just a mile away, and if you are attending a conference in National Harbor (as I was), it's a 6 min drive to the Plateau public lot by the Gaylord convention center. The staff was friendly (though cleaning regularly ignored the "no service" sign I put on the doorknob). Parking is extra (but not too expensive), which seemed a bit strange since you really need a car to make the most of the location. I will happily come here again if business takes me to the area.

I always enjoy when I stay at this hotel...the 24 hour coffee and tea as well as the hot chocolate bar and complimentary water. But what I did not like is that they now charge for parking and they held 75.00 on my credit card for the deposit.
