4/10 Poor

I always go into a Vrbo experience expecting a 5-star experience. Let’s start with the positives. The property is in a great location. It is near a nice shopping plaza and 10-15 to Old Town and DC. The neighborhood is safe, and it is right down the street from a hospital and gas station. Communication was good before the stay, and we were able to get help when needed. Here is why this experience was not 5-stars. We were in town for a short stay to meet family and friends. We were given instructions for using the Nest lock, but the door would not budge. We were trying to figure out how to get in for about 30 minutes. The cleaners locked the door, which is why we were unable to get in. I understand mistakes happen, but I feel as though that would be something that is double-checked before guests arrive. The property was nothing spectacular to bring us back. The appearance of the yard was disappointing. The grass was overgrown, there were weeds lining the uneven cobblestone walkway, and the steps leading to the entrance were one wrong step away from an injury. The property can hold 4 guests, but it seems more appropriate for one or two persons at max. The bathroom is very small, the sleep sofa was uncomfortable and covered with stained sheets, and the bedroom itself was fairly cramped. Thankfully, we were not spending too much time in the property. There was only one roll of toilet paper provided for a party of three staying for two nights, so we bought our own
