I had been to this hotel many years prior and loved it, so I wanted to treat my children. The breakfast and room service we ate for one dinner was delicious. The kids enjoyed the spa and pools. Unfortunately the hotel looks like it hasn’t had any upgrades since I was there last. The rest I have to say is not as positive, our stay wasn’t relaxing like we expected, our room was close to the pool, a great location I thought, but our deck was used by people to get to the pool - giving us no privacy, there was kids running up and down the halls from 7am - sounding like elephants, housekeeping came into our room at 9am to clean, when we were sleeping, then told me if they didn’t get in they would have their job done by 2pm. The room wasn’t clean, the bed sheet on one bed was dirty, the bathroom needs a good clean, mould removal, there was hair and cob webs behind the door. The sunlight comes in through the shutters as there is no curtains. There seem to be renovations happening which is good, although making it noisy with the tradesmen doing their work (perhaps it would be better to close until they are finished). For the price paid this was really disappointing. I stay in a lot of hotels for business and really wanted to be saying positive things about our stay. I do have some suggestions if the hotel would like to reach out, I didn’t think it was fair to discuss with your staff as they were trying to do a great job.
