This hotel is one of best secrets in Venice. A mansion of a local industrialist, it is still owned and managed by his family. It has a great character, a beautiful garden, and it is surprisingly affordable.

Staff was amazingly kind. After traveling through US I expect a mediocre service environment. These people were so kind, over the top helpful. The property is a converted third generation home and exquisite. Breakfast was not what we expected. It was lacking nothing including fresh everything and cappuccino made for us.

Gorgeous Venetian oasis

The hotel is well located, away from the centre of Venice but still close to various vaporetto stops which makes it easy to get around. The hotel itself is lovely and very comfortable - the air conditioning was strong and quiet, perfect in the June heat. The staff were very friendly and made our stay a delightful one.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sant' Antonin, staying from November 27 until December 2nd due to flight cancellations. The real gem of this property is the staff. We were grateful for their kindness and support throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to help us make bookings in the area, figure out transportation, and adjust our plans. The property is nice and the area isn't as populated by tourists which we preferred. The courtyard behind the building is beautiful and likely used often during warmer months. The free breakfast is not the best we've had during our stays but it was reasonable with options and barista-made coffee comes with a small cost. Drip coffee is available for free. We stayed in "Camera 3" which is the first room off of the entry courtyard. The winning element was a full bathtub. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The room is a little dark and slightly dank due to it's proximity to the water and lower level. It felt like living in a basement. There were a few issues with flushing toilets during high tide but resolved each day as tides changed, and the shower smells awfully musty and odd - we only used the bathtub. The only other element that isn't ideal is the door is very hard to close (no doorknob or handle) and the locking mechanism is right against the wall, also making it hard to lock the door after closing.

This hotel was an excellent find—away from the throngs of tourists (with the sites just a short walk away) and it was such a comforting place to come home to. The inner courtyard and back garden are beautiful and quiet and unique in this city. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts were fantastic. Our room was very large and clean and quiet—with lovely views.

The spacious room had a comfortable bed and large shower with great water pressure. The location was ideal for site seeing surrounded by great restaurants. The vibe was perfect for Venice. Staff was very professional and courteous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sant’Antonin. It’s a beautiful old building, very well maintained inside and out and with a very interesting history. It’s ideally located and an easy walk to all major attractions and water transportation. The private courtyard/gardens are incredible and we enjoyed breakfast each morning surrounded by lush gardens, a fountain and pond. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful and they really made our stay very memorable. We highly recommend the Hotel Sant’Antonin.

Well ordered and nicely furnished rooms. The garden of the Hotel Sant’antonin is magnificent. I found the staff extremely helpful, knowledgeable and good natured. I particularly appreciated their welcoming attitude to the varieties of guests that I saw at the hotel.
