The place was wonderful. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The place was incredible clean. and the food was delicious. The location was right on the beach and within walking distance of several local restaurants. Plus, the hotel's water taxi was very convenient. I'd recommend this place to anyone who plans to stay in Venice.

Amazing location, friendly staff and wonderful experience. The room was huge, staff was super friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was very varied and delicious ! The beachfront property was truly amazing. Free boat service to St-Mark's square was super useful. An item was forgotten in our room upon departure and the service was impeccable. Yes, it was more expensive in general but with the pool and the beach during a heatwave, it was truly worth it.

The Excelsior is an exceptional hotel in many ways - the property, the setting and the staff and just the general level of quality of everything. This was our second time there and it was lovely to be back. The only complaint I have is that the Wi-Fi service in the room was really bad this time but in all other respects, the place is magical.

Great pool, good breakfast selection, lovely grand building right on the beach. Shuttle boat into central Venice is very convenient. Drinks in the hotel are extortionate EUR 19.50 for 2 Cokes. There is a Gelateria almost opposite the hotel, that has salads, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, drinks and delicious ice creams at very reasonable prices.

We spent a long weekend in Venice and stayed at this lovely hotel. Everything was just right and in a great location away from the hustle and bustle of st marks square. We booked a premium room with Venice view (Newly renovated) and it was definitely worth it! I really enjoyed the Lido and had some awesome meals at traditional local restaurants. Great stay and would definitely visit again. The property is beautiful, historic and well maintained. The food was great and the daily breakfast surpassed all expectations. High marks for the staff, dining options, the pool, rooms, common areas, arrival/departure by boat, Venice shuttle. The fitness center was good enough. If I went back I’d probably skip the beach. The sand is not great and can get messy. The showers just off the beach came in handy. The cabanas are ok, but the shaded seating options aren’t plentiful. These would be great for two people if you want some shade.
