Staying with family for a wedding. I was the last to arrive. No room available so I was moved to a Hampton inn in a loud unsafe part of town— separated from my family. I was originally booked for 2 night and told to come back for the 2nd night for my room. Very upsetting

We found a rat in our room. We heard noise while we were sleeping and woke up to find it running around on the table. It left many droppings and there were clear signs of there being a rat. A hole was burrowed in the cushion on the chaise lounge with more droppings insode the couch.

This Hilton needs a major revamp
We don’t write too many reviews and especially a not so good review. We don’t always choose Hilton but thought we would this time around and have always enjoyed a comfortable stay when choosing them. And because this was a Hilton, we felt we needed to write this review. This property was dirty, garbage and cocktail cups in the hallway, the carpet throughout the hotel looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time and bed sheets were thin and worn. We asked to switch rooms because our first room’s bathroom sink was backing up. The front desk person seemed very busy and switched our room like it happened often. This hotel is in bad shape.
