Beautiful place, great location, some caveats…
This place is beautiful and in an excellent location. All the fixtures and surfaces are top quality! The place is huge, with tall ceilings and lovely windows.
Our caveats: the listing says “onsite parking options include garage access.” There is no onsite parking, and in fact we couldn’t even get our little car close. There’s a public parking garage several blocks away. Then we had to haul all our stuff up from the garage, along several blocks of cobblestone lane, and up 2 flights of stairs. The listing says no elevator, but it does not indicate which level it’s on. We are two older women, and we were not prepared for this long and difficult haul.
The directions were clear about accessing the apartment, but to get to the lockbox, I had to go down a stinky creepy alley located across from the apartment. I couldn’t see the front door or our pile of stuff from there. I hope you can find a better solution.
We tried to make coffee but we couldn’t get it to work until I figured the grounds container was full. I opened it to find it packed full of moldy dried grounds. I had to clean all that up before we could use it.
The listing says there’s a “spa tub” and “hot tub. In reality, there’s a large soaking bathtub, which is nice, but it’s not a “hot tub.” Also, no paper towels, bowls, or mugs. And finally, taste is subjective, be we found the abundance of faux flowers detracted from the otherwise elegant decor, and we worried about the dust they tend to collect.
