I am so thankful we decided to stay at The Palace as we were considering two other properties. It provides the best location in all of Madrid close to everything and within walking distance that makes the city so spectacular. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and the beds heavenly. The bathroom with double vanity and expansive shower was also great for a family. The reception, valet, restaurant and bar and cleaning staff were all kind, service oriented, helpful, and knowledgeable. The Palace is truly an exquisite property and we will return to Madrid and stay there again, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Uncharacteristicly bad stay.

We were not told the hotel was under renovations. It is not our first time staying here so we know what this hotel is like. To say uncomfortable is an understatement. Two elevators to access the rooms is ridiculous. Things never seen at this hotel, was a large coffee spill in between the elevators (1st to go from the lobby to the 2nd elevator to access the rooms) which remained uncleared all day. From time we left the hotel to go explore the city to nighttime when we returned to the hotel. The New Year’s Eve buffet was shamefully bad. Food was cold and lacked flavor

The hotel is beautiful and it is being remodeled, I can't wait to stay when it is completely done! The staff are well trained, friendly and accommodating. The one thing I didn't like is that our window didn't seal well, so I got to hear everything going on outside my window (and there was a terrible accident at 3:00 am one morning).

The property is under complete construction. They mention refurbishment of their Dome. It is not just the Dome. The lobby bar, main restaurant and breakfast area are all set up in a temporary area. That being the hotel conference facilities. There is no direct elevator to the rooms. The entire exterior area is under construction as well. We had a beautiful renovated room but the staff outside the room were very loud. We had a service door by the headboard of our bed. They constantly slammed the door. We voiced our concerns after the first night. It continued the entire stay. This was not good for sleeping it happen at late as midnight and as early at 6 a.m. The last day there was loud banging above our head. Would not recommend staying till they complete their renovations! Not refurbishment as stated by the hotel.
