Home sweet home in Tomi

It felt like coming home to the countryside after being away for so long! This is our 2nd time staying here, and the owners welcomed us back like family - even came to pick us up at the train station, and made sure we had everything we needed- and more! We are a family of 5 with little kids, so we were looking for a spacious home, and this place has space to spare - didn’t even need to use the upstairs rooms. Our 2 week stay went by quickly and very smoothly. The house is very well-stocked, so no worries if you forgot your toothbrush, or didn’t bring shampoo. All you need is your clothes, some food to cook (with plenty of dishes and utensils for cooking!), and enjoy your comfortable, lovely stay in a truly authentic Japanese home. Very close to a big supermarket, 7-eleven, Ueda, and all the natural beauty Nagano offers. Every time we leave, it’s like having to part with a piece of our soul. The owners couldn’t have been more hospitable- we even had a farewell barbecue in their yard, and our little ones were always welcomed to play there. Loved our time here! We’ll be back soon!!
