If you are taking a cruise on Royal Caribbean this hotel's location to the tetminal is great. You can walk on the River Walk as well as to other restsurants. The lobby and room bathrooms are updated. However, the rooms are a little outdated. The hotel also offers shuttle service to the terminals. The bed was comfortable, there is free wifi, and the air conditioning worked impeccably.

Check-in was quick and polite. However, first room had an open fridge with bath towels on the bottom of the fridge extending to the adjacent floor. Tried to call the front desk, but room phone broken. Had to return to lobby to get new room. Rooms clean, but small with expected amenities; nothing special. Overall, okay hotel, but don't expect luxury.

I love staying there. It’s literally the best hotel in Tampa. The staff is extremely friendly. Everyone is always asking. How was your food or how was your day and you just really feel at home

The only criticism I might have is the inconsistency of the shuttle. It made it a little difficult if one was on a schedule to count on it, even if one planned in enough buffer time for arrival.

We had an absolutely excellent stay at the Barrymore. The staff was amazing and helpful, the shuttle service was so convenient, the room was extremely comfortable, the pool was clean and quiet, and the restaurant downstairs was incredible — food and service-wise. Would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel offered a shuttle which was wonderful considering I was there for a concert at Amalia Arena. The shuttle comes and goes every 15 minutes so there is just some planning ahead you would have to do. Hotel Parking is $10 for overnight though. Hotel is clean but I notice rusting on some metal bars in the bathrooms. There is also a sewer like smell from the sink which could be due to old pipes. Only stayed 3 nights so it was not bad.
