I loved the beautiful history of this place, and it has so much charm and beautiful details throughout the lodge, the dining room was gorgeous, and the food was great. We had breakfast there and it was absolutely delicious. We wanted to go on a glass, bottom boat tour however, the weather was bad so we’re coming back again to spend more time there. This place is unique and beautiful, and an absolute must see.

Great Getaway !!
A last minute girls weekend , we weren't sure what we were doing and I reserved this just because it was a stopping point after a time. We were ecstatic when we arrived, it is an amazing Lodge !! And we cannot wait to get back! The beds were comfortable, the ground were beautiful ! The boat tour was very informative and the wildlife was abundant !

The whole place is a national treasure, we enjoyed everything about this place. The jungle cruise was amazing. Dinner at the resort was delicious, comfortable bed, nice hiking trails, we are already planning to come back.

A delightful experience
The reviews had led us to expect a step back in time, and we were not disappointed - and in the best possible way. We arrived on a very cold day to find a blazing log fire and an equally warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable and the bath the best we had come across in 9 days travelling across the US. The corridors are lined with photos illustrating the film-making history of the Lodge. The boat tour conducted by State Park Rangers that starts just in front of the hotel is not to be missed. The restaurant is excellent and the State Park entrance fee ($6) can be set against the bill.
