Modern style hotel close to the metro

My room did not have windows, which might not be great for some people. For me, I like the dark. Nice, modern looking hotel that doesn't offer much besides a clean room and good shower. Near the metro and has some nice markets and restaurants nearby. Nice if you want to stay in the city. Not close to the beach, but taxis are easy to get to go wherever you like.

Good deal but no view and a little far from MRT

This is a nice hotel for the price but the windows all look out into a light well. Can barely see the sky. not much natural light. And a little far from the MRT.Otherwise location is great near NTNU and Shida Road.

I went to Taipei to go to Roxy Rocker. The hotel was a few buildings down the street. Had access to two MRT lines.

Shocked from the get-go but not too bad overall

Checking in was a breeze but entering my room was a shock.... New Year's Eve and I had reserved a standard room for a relatively hefty fee but what I got was something like a capsule room for someone in transit with little need for much more than a bed and a toilet. This room, with the bathroom included, was half the size of my university dorm room. The toilet and shower were one unit. I was in utter disbelief. So I went back to reception and discussed the issue - they told me that my reservation was for a "micro"-(something) room but I didn't remember seeing anything "micro" on my reservation. Fortunately, despite being NYE, they had one standard room available - no window but at least it was a fairly normal room with a nice restroom. The only problem with the room is that it had a peculiar smell that you could get used to but upon entering the room, isn't very appealing. Second to that, there was no closet and the floor didn't seem to be vacuumed but no big deal... I took the room even though I had to pay about 1600NTD for the 3-day upgrade. The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable though. Their wine opener was broken but shouldn't be a problem anymore since I bought a new one and donated it to them.

All above average!!! The front desk staff are extremely hospitable, and they would all stand up while listening to me and responding to my questions as well as my requests. I would definitely come back when I visit Taipei again.

Very far from MRT

Never expected a room like this small. They call it as "macro room" Only positive is the property is new. They haven't mentioned anything about macro while booking. Wifi was excellent. Have to wait long for the elevator.

Clean, good located short stay room

I chose this hotel as I have a late arrival at Taipei from taitung and wanted to find somewhere close to a night market with nice neighbourhood. It was nicely located as it took only 5 min walk to the Shifa night market so I can still do some shopping. The room is clean, but don't expect they have all toiletries like slippers and bathrobe, nor they don't have wardrobe if you have a longer stay. General is a good value for money for a clean simple room.

Horrible experience and Smallest room

I booked the room for myself with one lugguage, But, this is the smallest and crampest room I've ever seen in my years of travel. I couldn't breath in this stuffy and stale-air room due to no window. One male staff at the desk was so rude with this insulting attitude when I wanted to switch to a room with window. I was told to pay NTD900 extra for a room with a small window. Horrible experience. I moved to another hotel the next day.

Certainly all good at the Goodmore Shida

I booked this hotel for my son who is studying at MTC . A great location for his campus, nice neighbourhood and easy access to everywhere. He stayed in a single room and then a double room, both of which was nicely designed and clean. Good service and helpful staff made his first week in taipei comfortable . Breakfast was also good.
