Good location - walkable to several tourist attractions including Taipei 101. Lots of restaurants nearby. Friendly staff and decent breakfast, which is included with the room. From our room, we were able to see the New Year’s Eve fireworks of Taipei 101 - a nice surprise for us. The only thing that we were not happy about was that the hotel didn’t provide hand soap. We understand for eco friendly reasons, personal hygiene products are not provided. However, for hygiene reasons, hand soap should be provided. Even public restrooms provide hand soap. We ended up having to go to a convenient store to buy a soap bar, which we couldn’t use up and had to be thrown away. This is something we think the hotel can improve.

Great value! The Golden Garden Hotel aspires to deliver 5 star accommodations at 3 or 4 star price. By far the nicest hotel room our family enjoyed during our trip. The location is reason alone to pick GGH. Walking distance to mass transit, night market and other fun parts of Taipei. There is an excellent restaurant choices on the same street including breakfast spot on the same side of the street a half block down.

Service-oriented and comfortable. Real value.

Service-oriented and very courteous staff. Clean, comfortable rooms and very lovely and diverse breakfast selection. The head lady in charge of greeting and assisting with be breakfast, Miss Chen, was especially great in her cheerful, friendly and helpful manner. The bathrooms could have used an extra roll of toilet paper (only one roll was provided for two guests) as well as some hand soap at the sink.

Very strict on time of check-in or check out . No considerations for seniority . Suggest check in exactly at 3:00 pm or later Or check out exactly at 12:00, or they will call you at your room every minute and warn you of 300NT per hour of excess starting at 12:01.

There will be no next time

I stayed only for one night, and chose it for the location close to the TSA airport. They allow guests to park right at the entrance, which made the other guests in and out with suitcase a challenge. The room is very basic, there is not much to it.
