50sqm apartment with panoramic terrace that can accommodate up to 4 people. Located on the second floor, without lift, of a typical Syracusan palace, the apartment is located a few steps from the temple of Apollo and the market, in the heart of Ortigia.
The property is located in the ZTL area, ideally located for visiting the city on foot, immersing yourself in the characteristic atmosphere of the Ronchi and the alleys of Ortigia.

The internal space is organized as follows:
-LIVING AREA: double bed and a half mezzanine, sofa bed, split A / C, TV, dining table, access to the balcony (equipped with a small table and two chairs).
-COOKING CORNER: induction hob, fridge, kettle and moka.
-BATHROOM: shower, bidet and toilet.
-TERRAZZO: panoramic terrace with outdoor furniture: dining table, chairs and bench.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: unlimited wifi, split A / C with heat pump, fan, iron and ironing board, clothesline, clothes stand, hairdryer.

PLEASE NOTE: if you travel with small children, pay attention to the internal stairs.

Availability on request of cot and high chair for children.

The entire house is for the exclusive use of guests during their stay and there are no spaces shared with the host or other tenants.

We are very flexible and will be happy to organize early check-ins or late check-outs, if possible, in case there are no other outgoing / incoming guests. Any requests can be confirmed only the day before arrival.

The apartment is located a few steps from the Temple of Apollo, one of the most important monuments of Ortigia, the first one to have been raised in Syracuse. Dating from the early 6th century BC. C. is therefore the oldest Doric temple in Sicily, and it is possible to admire the remains directly from the terrace located on the second floor.
In three minutes on foot you arrive at the daily market (every day except Sunday), a typical market full of local products and street food, where you can shop and eat local delicacies. The stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables and seasonal vegetables are the masters in terms of colors. The schools of fish and crustaceans represent a typically Sicilian uniqueness and it is possible to find many of the Mediterranean fish varieties. Do not miss the shops of Sicilian cheeses and salami, true delicacies of the Sicilian tradition.
A short distance from the mini bus stop will allow you to move easily within the city and to reach the Archaeological Park of Neapolis with its Greek Theater, the catacombs of San Giovanni, the Paolo Orsi museum, the Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime, the natural reserve of the river Ciane on whose banks the papyrus grows, the protected marine natural area of the Plemmirio (paradise for hikers and walkers), the bus and train station.

In the area you will find many other services such as bank, post office, mini market, restaurants, bars, shops and much more.

-From the airport it is possible to reach Catania Central Station, where it is possible to take the Regional / Intercity train to Siracusa. Ortigia can be reached by public transport (electric bus).

Ortigia is in ZTL and the cameras are operating:
Monday - Friday from 20:00 to 2:00 the following day;
Saturday and pre-holidays from 16:00 to 2:00 the following day;
Sunday, holidays and pre-holidays, from 11:00 to 2:00 the following day

The closest parking is 400 meters from the apartment and is called "Talete". It is open 24 hours a day and offers affordable prices:

The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), from where also the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport leave (about 1 hour's journey).

A member of our Siracusa Team will contact you a few days before your arrival to arrange check-in. You will meet in the apartment for the delivery of the keys and will be at your disposal before and during your stay in case of problems or questions. All identity documents of residents must be shown on arrival as required by Italian law.

For check-in from 21:30 to 01:30 a supplement will be applied, to be paid in cash on arrival, according to the following:

EUR 30 from 23:00 and 00:00
EUR 40 from 00:00 to 01:30
Check-in after 01:30 is not possible, even for a fee.
