Very Dissapointing stay

Very poor experience and very upset considering I wanted to enjoy and relax. 1. Was put in a disbaled room and should of been a deluxe double, bathroom smelt musty and the curtain shower smelt. The shower only came out in the middle part and was very rusty, bed was average, room was very hot could not open the window and had lots of cobwebs. Restaurant only 3 tables for dinner and i was kept waiting for half and hour before they asked me what I wanted. I ordered a drink which never came until I asked and came after my food which was a started of prawns which were frozen and cooked and tasteless. Breakfast hot food not much and had not been changed in a while very dry, only 2 crossiants left just very poor for a 4 star hotel.

The hotel and its facilities are excellent and the staff were helpful and considerate throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable to stay in although it was a little warmer and stuffy at night. The air conditioning is a little noisy to leave when sleeping. Providing towelling robes was a nice touch but unfortunately both were a medium fit so although my partners fitted I being larger it was not suitable. Other than that we enjoyed our stay J Brett

Paper thin walls - could hear the occupants breathing on both sides!! Land line was constantly ringing next door - nobody was there at the time to answer it, but it kept ringing - called Reception who said they would stop the ringing. They did - for 2 minutes - started again. Called again, stopped again for 3 minutes. Called again Reception said someone was in the room & was probably choosing not to answer it. It drove us mad - on check out, we were asked if all was ok - we explained - again about the phone constantly ringing loudly & we were all but accused of lying about the phone - we weren’t. It truly drove us mad & we ended up leaving 2 hours earlier than planned to get away from the ringing. Not great service from the staff 😞

Overall a nice clean hotel with great leisure facilities. We also dined in at the in hotel restaurant which was nice and well priced for a family of four. Could do with more vegetarian options and a slightly wider menu option.

The hotel itself is very nice, room are very average for merriot .need a little updating . Tiles in the bathroom need to be grouted. Staff are polite Ritesh was very helpful and welcoming at reception.The spa and swimming facilities are very good.

Great location, comfortable and spacious rooms. But seems to be a bit dated and needs refurb. Reasonable price. We found the pillows quite soft and not to our liking and could have been a bit firm. The location is really nice and short drive to some of the amneties and town centre. Near to some of the cotswold villages

The room was comfortable & clean. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast though very busy, noisy and awkward to access things due to the numbers of people, needs more organisation. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. Enjoyed it. The drainage in our sink didn’t work, we’ve informed the hotel. We think it’s a rip off for hotel guests to pay for parking, £7.50 per night. No biscuits in the room, that’d would’ve been a welcoming touch. Would stay again.

The property is advertised as 5 star hotel but definetely is not more than a 2/3 star hotel. The room was dated, bad odour in the room, bathroom fan not working and toilet roll hung wrong way round. The gym was like a public leisure centre and the hygiene was very poor. The staff were not pro- active at breakfast time in re- filling empty buffet pots/dishes. We had to ask the staff to replenish on a number of occasions. I would like a full refund as the pictures when booking does not describe the hotel when you see it!
