Staff great/ friendly. Room was very clean. Curtain was hanging off rail a bit. Breakfast was good. Could have done with more than two teabags in room facilities. Like my cuppa. Otherwuse good vslue for the money. I didn't sleep great as bed was far too hard but thats my personal issue. Sone folk might prefer that.

The staff in the Highland Gate restaurant were brilliant, very polite and efficient. It was quite busy even on a Tuesday late afternoon and they still did their job well even though there was only 2 of them front of house. The Marston Inn room adjacent to the Highland Gate was okay for our one night stay and for the value of what we paid. The rooms could be doing with a spruce up, the skirting board for example wasn't the cleanest. The bathroom panel etc was a bit scruffy and not sure who does your maintenance but a standard round shaped toilet seat has been fitted to a square pan!! Not very comfortable and not nice to look at. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly inside the bowl which was a bit off putting as it made me think the rest wouldn't have been cleaned correctly. Otherwise everything else was fine for our one night stay passing through, the bed was comfy and clean.

Booked an accessible room, upon arrival told there isn't one available. Had to wait 2hours with a 4 & 6 yr old to get into our room at 9pm. Staff did there best but were slow at sorting the issue out.

Very tired looking room which needed repainting. Chipped drinking glass. Bed very comfortable and the heating/air conditioning worked really well. Close to Stirling City Centre and an excellent location for touring around the area. Food in the restaurant was satisfactory but served on chipped plates. Service excellent.

Room ventilation problems - no working fan in bathroom with mould growing on ceiling. Lots of condensation even when opened windows. Breakfast cheap and ok. Large portions, little fruit, warm drinks cold, juice very diluted
