Amazing staff! Rooms are dark, gloomy with a window AC unit. No light in the closet and a bright white light above the bed that feels more appropriate for a prison than a hotel. Work in the lobby was noisy while trying to work. Just not what you'd expect for $200 a night. Solid deal if you can get for $100.

The Avalon just had a really special vibe. It was warm and didn't feel commercial. The staff was fantastic, made you feel at home.
