Staff were great, i put in a recommend that the room needs a mini fridge and the next day it gets brought to my room. All the staff were great from start to finish. Hotel and room clean, close to a bus route to valletta.plenty of options for food around. Will use hotel again.

Basic hotel but outstanding as such. Lovely breakfast included- cooked full English and continental - grab bags available if you want take breakfast out. Room clean , beds comfy. Can be a little noisy late on an evening due to the nightclubs surrounding the area of hotel- but not too bothersome. Good location to bus routes and several places walkable. Plenty of dining options. Would definately recommend .

Great staff, breakfast and location. Very good! Would recommend!!! The only thing that is weird is the pool situation- it’s kind of unclear. That isn’t an issue for us though. Loved it.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in this hotel. I actually feel they went above and beyond to make our stay brilliant. The hotel was kept spotless clean and the layout was great. The hotel was in an ideal location and felt safe. The views from the terrace and balcony were great and gave us the option of eating both indoors and out for breakfast

Despite specific request for a quiet room and a high floor to escape the noise, plus requesting a double bed and paying extra for it, unfortunately upon my arrival, i was given the complete opposite of my requests, a room on the second floor which was extremely noisy, and a room with 2 twin beds . And the member of staff lying to me several times saying that was the only avaliable room in the hotel, i later found out this was not true. Bad customer services. Lacks hospitality

September 2025 - A great stay

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express at St Julians Malta was excellent . Room was a great size and very clean. Good facilities including teas and coffee, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Toiletries were also good. Room had a small balcony. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice including hot and cold options. Service was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very busy noisy part of town but the double glazing was excellent at reducing any noise.

Cleanliness not a problem. Taxi arranged to airport upon arrival (3:00 AM departure). At 3 AM no taxi. had to scramble to get ride. Noise from outside activities very loud - until 2 AM. Tough to sleep. Air flow from heater/cooler aimed directly at bed - not comfortable.
