This facility would have been rated excellent, except that at the breakfast, the 2 coffee machines would not provide any Premium coffee. Asked the staff about the problem but they didn't know nor did they seem interested. A breakfast without a cup of good coffee is just not a good start to the day. Had to go to McDonald's for coffee.

The St. George in is an oasis of comfort and quiet good taste. It might've gone the way of most other American roadside motels of its kind, but happily, it was rescued, lavished with attention, and infused with affection. It is an absolute gem. The humanity and values of its owners is reflected in the patient pleasantness of the staff and also, importantly, in the reasonable cost of a stay. All rooms look out on the parking lot, which is actually great for those of us cross country road-trippers who like to keep an eye on the things we're hauling. The pool and hot tub are behind a white metal fence in the center of the complex and are impreccably clean. The water is clear and warm and not overly chlorinated. I was really impressed to see a lift at the hot tub, allowing my mother (she has M.S.) to join me. My single king bed was firm and comfortable and the room quite large, with a full sized sofa and a table where I worked for a few hours. The included breakfast was just fine - I'd have enjoyed a bit of fresh fruit perhaps - but absolutely a great deal for the overall cost of the stay. I should also mention that I enjoyed great service at the Black Bear Diner next door. The food was plentiful and Betty Crocker tasty. I arrived at the St. George Inn feeling road weary and hungry; I left rested, refreshed, and grateful. It is at the midpoint in my route from California to Colorado and I never miss the opportunity to make this my first stop over. Enjoy, fellow traveller
