Had no idea what to expect…..it’s quite nice.

Old fashioned place that is well run. It definitely not new. People that work there seem to like their jobs, imagine that. Whoever manages this place knows what they are doing. Breakfast was different but really good. We didn’t know what to expect and were more than pleasantly surprised with the entire operation…….

I liked it all. Clean room, nice shower with the shower head up high (I am 6 ft 3). Easy plug in for HDMI to TV. Breakfast was awesome. Hot food was plated for us with great choices. Grits were the best.

Lovely place to stay

Love the shuttle to downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was average but bathroom was very small. Shower was updated and beds were comfortable.

PROs: location was great; price of room was reasonable; all staff I interacted with were very nice; ample parking; offered transportation to downtown. CONs: outdated hotel. Other notes: didn’t realize they allowed pets, next door had a dog who barked constantly; people above us were pounding and fighting loudly the night we stayed over.

Quick getaway

Pros, hotel was very clean, service was good, breakfast good. Shuttle to and from St Augustine very helpful. Cons, location was noisy from traffic. They were supposed to offer a complimentary beverage or room upgrade and they neglected to do so.

It is a hotel for people with dogs. I don’t recommend if u are going with small kids and no pets. There is dog hair everywhere and even a dog bed in every room.

Breakfast is really great and the shuttle is an amenity really appreciated given that the hotel is a bit of a long walk to the historic district. Rooms non-renovated (standard room) is basic. Lacks storage space for luggage. Lacks towel shelving or towel holders for some strange reason - no where to hang used towels. Fridge and microwave both good. Only serious issue is walls very thin. Could hear neighbours nightly. Not a make or break but should know this since hotel is older. If returned would book an upgraded room simply for a bit more comfort and storage.
