Good location, decent place
Stayed two nights before cruising from Southampton. Place was clean and ready for stay. Communications with host were challenging; although they djd say they were on annual leave, sometimes responses were 24 hours or later. They were nice about letting us drop the bags off early, though. Some environmental noise from adjacent train track, not too loud if the windows are closed but significant if open, which likely necessary due to lack of A/C.
The review stating lack of cleanliness/mold may be accurate to their experience, but we were happy with the state of the place. While we didn’t cook, the kitchen was spacious and had the basic supplies needed. Refrigerator was a good size too. We did use the washing machine and were a little surprised it wasn’t also a dryer, but we had plenty of time to air dry our stuff.
The place could easily be cuter with some basic decorating, but it looked fine. We thought it was a good value for the price and reasonable based on other options we considered. It is an excellent location for most sightseeing.
