So look I can’t fault the service. Although there was a major language barrier, the staff were very attentive and tried their best to accomodate my stay. However we did encounter some issues with the stay.
1. The driveway is roughly 500m walk. The reception is about half way down. You aren’t given any check in details prior to arrival so naturally you drive to the end of the driveway where the Villa’s are situated. We were then informed that we needed to check in first. The staff were around at this time so they scootered me up. however if they weren’t there, you would have to walk back up the hill to the reception. Unless you are planning on hiring a scooter or scooting everywhere, be prepared to walk.
2. The water supply was shut off for over 3 hours on the first day and 4 hours on the third day. This was right after we went mud bugging in ubud so we were filthy. We had to sit outside for hours until the water was finally turned back on.
3. The neighbour was hiring women to his room all hours of the night, they were having very very loud intercourse. So loud you could hear it over the TV. This happened 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. Now I know this isn’t the villas fault however it made the stay turn sour very fast.
There was a major positive to the stay, the room was poorly made and looked after. However the staff cleaned it daily and did their best to keep it clean and tidy.
