Warning! this is one of those hotels that gives you a rate and receipt at check in and then sweeps your credit card for a dramatically higher amount! And they say they can do this! They never informed me! I would never had known if I hadn’t reviewed my credit card account! This was not due to any additional charges that certain hotels charge these days!!!

Disgusting

The linens were clean!! Nothing else was. Filthy, old and overall disgusting. They should pay you to stay there!! We locked the door when we went to dinner and spent about 5 minutes trying to get it opened upon our return. Door knob was falling apart.

Great place to experience authentic Sekiu! This property is older, but well-cared for. The service was excellent. I went to sleep with an ocean breeze and woke up early enough to see the fishing boats go out. There may be fancier hotels, but if you're coming for the experience and authenticity, this is definitely the place to stay.

Booked a five day salmon fishing trip in March to stay a Curlys. I have stayed there a couple times before new ownership and never had an issue. The new owners do not answer the phone, give lousy directions for dropping the boat trailer after going in the office personnally, twice. They have an entire lazy family lingering around and in the office, yet can't answer the phone. They0 lease a dock which has no water for fish cleaning the entire stay. The kids at the desk kept blaming PUD, I think they don't pay their bills. It looked like it had been shut off for a while. The only way you can get anything, like TP, is to go into the office. The room comes with half a roll, no extra, no housekeeping checking anything. Room came with a dirty wash cloth in the shower to start with, with dry TP on the mirror. I will never stay there again, avoid if you can.

The property is older and nothing fancy, but was clean and quiet. We had been fishing and needed overnight accommodations for 4 adult's. It fit our needs well.

My overall stay was great customer service was awesome they were very courteous and quick to get you your room and let you know where it is. I love the location and the closeness to the water and it's very spacious now keep in mind that it is a fisherman's village so you're not going to be at some Taj mahal but it is very nice I got through in the head a full bed and two twins perfect for four people. It was very quiet lots of equals outside great time I would definitely stay there again. Now with only one complaint and it really wasn't even in a complaint but one of the kitchen chairs was a little wobbly it just needed tightened up and one of the burners on the stove looked like somebody had melted something maybe oil I don't know something was on one of the burners so we only had three burners but it was a great stay definitely would do it again I was in room 15 great job to curley's great job

Terrible Stay – Unclean and Unsafe Conditions We booked two nights at Curley’s Resort and Dive Shop in Sekiu, WA (July 5–7, 2025) but left after one night due to serious health and safety concerns. The unit was filthy—smelled like syrup, full of dust, cobwebs, insects, and a broken, stained sofa bed with no sheets. My girlfriend and children’s asthma flared up immediately. I politely asked for a different room but was told none were available. When I requested a refund for the second night, I was met with hostility and falsely accused of breaking the sofa, which was already broken on arrival. The manager dismissed our concerns, saying I “chose to come to a rural area,” as if that justified unsanitary conditions. I’m in the military and have stayed in many rural places—none this poorly maintained. Avoid this place if you care about your health, comfort, or being treated with respect.

Not the cleanest

The room was dirty, cobwebs in every corner, dust, wet used washcloth left lying on the shower floor, so the shower was obviously not cleaned…. The floor was sinking in the bathroom…. I was nervous about sleeping in the covers due to the rest of the condition of the room so I slept on top of everything. Plus there was a nicer cleaner cheaper hotel across the street. Next time I will go there.
