Scenery is beautiful on the water side of the property. Felt safe there. Bedding was comfortable and heating/AC unit responsive and easy to use. Needed more Body Wash provided; didn't like the projecting ceramic soap dish as I hit my head on it. Attached restaurant was good. Easy for ferry goers to walk to the terminal right from the hotel.

The location was great for our few days in Olympic National Park. The room had a great view of a harbor and nice sunrises. Easy to walk to restaurants in the town and very close to the ferry. The room was okay. The shower water wasn't very hot. But otherwise was great for our needs.

An ok place to stay

Check in took way too long. And I asked for a water facing room and the person checking me in said they had non available. However, I overheard them tell other guests there were water facing room available. Our room had no soap, shampoo, or conditioner. I had to find a room service person because the person working the front desk was busy with other guests. At $200+ per night I did not expect this level of service.

I paid "hotel" prices for a "motel" room. We had to ration toilet paper as they left two nearly empty rolls in the room. I could have gotten the same room for half the price if I knew I was going to be staying on the ghetto side of the property.

Not sure what I was expecting from a Red Lion, but the experience was quite poor. Port Angeles is a sad little town, but this place felt like it was not cleaned in the last 6 months, the utilities were bad (broken lights, shredded towels, etc) and the pillows were just sacks filled with cotton swabs. The only plus is the view of the water , but even that was so-so since you’re looking at a small inlet and not really open water.
