We stayed at The Spot at Porpoise Bay and found the room much smaller than it looked in the photos — quite a bit tighter than expected. They advertised free s’mores, but those were never offered during our stay. We were told it was due to the weather, but it was actually sunny the whole time except for a bit of rain in the morning. Overall, the place was okay but didn’t quite live up to what was promised.

The room was modern, clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. The man at check in was super friendly, and communicative through the Expedia app as to confirming with me what time I would get there so that he would be available (as I was going to be later in the evening due to ferries). My only complaint is that there was a very bright light outside of our room (I believe we were room 17?). These lights were on the far left and far right sides, so they shine brightly into at least 2 of the rooms. Even with the blinds closed, it was so bright that it looks like daylight is shining in the room. I'd recommend for those two rooms, that different blinds are installed. I will definitely stay there next time I am in Sechelt :)

Very nice place to stay for a work trip. Easy access and friendly staff. We arrived a little bit early and the manager called me to let me know that the room was ready early. Made for a pleasant stay. Would stay again. :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Spot at Porpoise Bay, it was a delightful experience! From the moment I arrived, the accommodating staff ensured that my late check-in was smooth and hassle-free, which was a great relief after a long day of travel. One of the standout features of my stay was definitely the bathroom amenities. The high-pressure, hot showers were invigorating and just what I needed to unwind. Coupled with the fluffy, large bath towels, it felt luxurious and relaxing . The sheets were immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to drift off into a peaceful sleep.

Good Hotel close to amenities

Overall, the place was pretty good. Borrowed a toaster from the hotel - it barely worked, and looked like it had never been cleaned - buy a new toaster folks, less than $30! Also, toilet seat was loose. Houskeeping should be getting maintenance to fix this simple problem.

The fellow working at the reception was so friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Beds and linens very comfortable with a nice view of the inlet. Room very thoughtfully laid out for not being too large. Recycling bin was the only thing they could add.

Room was very clean and we appreciated pet friendly although 20.00 per day per pet seemed excessive when other charge a one time fee per pet. We were placed near an exit which was wonderful for the pets. Beautiful gazebo and overlooking Marina, can’t beat this view. However BBQ was filthy and the brush to clean it had no bristles. After asking they were able to find another brush. We wanted to use the beautiful fire pit but there was no propane. Room looks recently renovated so was clean…the bathroom tap while lovely, is the wrong size for the sink so water overflowed at the back or drenched is when washing. My biggest comment would be the responses we got when asking…met with a
