The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged, making it perfect for a family getaway. The bedding was particularly impressive—luxuriously soft, fresh, and incredibly comfortable, which made for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing and activities. The staff were all great and the food in the restaurant was also very good. The menu was a bit limited, but everything we had was very good. The exterior of the building was nice as were the grounds. But for 300 pounds a night the room really needs work. We were in room 11, there was a 1.5inch hole in the drywall, and one wall had been so marked up by suitcases it looked like a child had colored on it. The water pressure in the shower was non existent. The chairs in the sitting room were also in rough shape and need to be restrapped. Just a total lack of basic maintenence, and thats unfortunate since this could be an amazing place.

The hotel is wonderful - lovely, friendly, attentive staff who try very hard to accommodate your needs and who are so helpful; gorgeous accommodation and really lovely cleaning staff; and first class food - I had the best meal of my year at the Loch Ness Country House Hotel.
