Rooms were dirty. Housekeeping only came 2 out of 5 days due to staffing shortages. The pool was not heated as advertised. Some staff couldn’t have cared less when we brought concerns to them but for the most part, the staff were empathetic and understanding of our concerns. The biggest issue was the lack of consistent hot water. Shower couldn’t maintain hot water and sometimes had none at all. The sink hot water was also intermittent but to a lesser extent.
The restaurant staff were great. The food was average. Breakfast was a buffet which was okay the couple of days we opted for it.
We were told the hotel is under new ownership and short managers and staff which was evident when a staff member mopping the floor in the restaurant was asked to go to help strip beds, and when a housekeeping staff had to leave her room-cleaning post to go “work at the spa for an appointment”.
There is A LOT of potential for this hotel to be really amazing but we were extremely disappointed in our stay. We have requested a refund of the resort fees but have yet to hear back from the hotel.
