The best part of our stay was the Drift Kitchen & Bar where we had dinner and breakfast. The food was amazing, and so were the staff; in particular Christine who was with us through dinner.
The staff on the front desk were not helpful at all. In fact two people we spoke with were snarky. We had booked our room through Expedia to save a bit of money, and truthfully felt punished by your staff. Our travel plans changed, bringing us to Huntsville one day early so we called to ask for a second night. We were told that because we booked through Expedia. they weren't allowed to change our reservation (understandable), but when we asked to add on a night and pay for it separately we were told to do it online ourselves. When we tried to do so, the system would not allow us because the online booking system is hard-wired to force a 2-night stay on Friday's and Saturdays. We called back one more time and a different person answered the phone, and was just as unhelpful. Given the hotel was empty (and 2 staff told us that people had been laid off due to low bookings), we would have thought you would have appreciated the revenue.
Despite the hotel being empty, we were placed in the first room off the foyer where we could hear staff talking and music playing. There were people on other floors (we learned while checking out at the same time). In our room there were big dust balls in multiple spots on the ceiling and floor, and our bed skirt was ripped. Also, the tub was not clean.
