Unfortunately my unit was in poor shape...remote did not function consistently, carpet had not been vacuumed, table tops were sticky and had not been cleaned, room was exceptionally hot and this could not be changed. Bedside light shorted out and 2 of the windows was reasy to fall out.. my non smoking room was very smokey. Parking was good and close to my room for safetly.Deadbolt workes well.

I asked for an accessible room, there were steps to climb to get into the room from the driveway and into the rooms. Additionally there were no grab handles to assist in the bathroom. Worst of all is the fact there was no heat in the room. After 2 phone calls a staff member finally arrived with a space heater, we ended up sleeping with our long underwear on beneath our pajamas. Also the phone in our room did not work . We have stayed here before and were happy to book this winter visit to Sarnia with Faulds. However, this appare tly was our last time staying with Faulds. We will look elsewhere for our visit this coming summer.

Door to office was locked at our arrival, 3pm not a great look. Checked in and room was very basic and it looked like it hadn’t been vacuum in a while. Did not like it nor felt safe. We left, asked for money back after only 4 minutes, they kept the taxes. Weird 😳

I can’t understand why this motel would be rated so high. A couple examples: 2 long black hairs on the sheet, coffee grounds left in the coffee machine, general lack of cleanliness of the room, no grab bars in the tub, outlet bar looked overloaded, no control over heat or air.

Very friendly staff, outside and grounds well kept. The room was clean and very quiet as well. Older, no frills motel, but well maintained...You will NOT find a better place for the price!

I booked on expedia which I'm used to having the payment process ahead of time. Apparently they don't do that so I had to pay on arrival which was an unwelcome experience. I also paid extra for refund protection which is redundant if nothing is paid ahead of time. The staff was friendly and the room was clean but heavily in need of some updating. The shower head sprayed water onto the floor and there were some cheap fixes like tape on the windows which took away from the experience. People like to come here to party on the weekends so if you stay Friday or Saturday night keep in mind the noise and extra people around.

I would like to complain about the room I booked on Aug 30-31, 2025. We arrived at Fauld's motel and checked-in, but we were surprised the room was not as advertised on Expedia. We booked a room because based on photos they are clean and free from insects or bugs. We know that it is motel and maybe a lower level than inn accommodations, but because it has a good rating on Expedia, I booked a room. We were shocked when we arrived because the room was not even cleaned and maintained well. The furniture is dirty like tables, lamps, and chairs. The floor is dusty. We even saw crawling insects. We asked the help desk if they are bed bugs and he just explained they are insects because it is summer season. He said the door was kept during cleaning. We were not comfortable to stay because of health risks. We requested for a refund, but the help desk said he can only give a letter stating that we can come back anytime and use the amount to book for one night. We are not comfortable coming back anytime because of this bad experience.
