My short getaway

Although my stay was a short amount of time, I Njoy it a lot. I did have an opportunity to get in the pool, which I Njoy. Next time much longer time to stay.

I recently stayed at Tru by Hilton Santee and had a largely positive experience. The room was excellent clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. However, I felt compelled to withhold the fifth star due to the breakfast experience. The buffet was not refilled quickly enough, which became an issue when a family monopolized it. Unfortunately, this meant my 7-year-old couldn't enjoy any pancakes, and we had to get back on the road without having a proper breakfast. While the room and service were outstanding, an improvement in the breakfast area would make future stays perfect.

First time staying at this brand. Loved it as we just needed a place to sleep. We weren’t planning on taking in the comp breakfast but we did and it was great. Fresh, yummy and clean environment.

Not happy

Went to bed 9pm. Big screen TV came on at 10:30 with message to welcome “Joyce”. At 10:55 some one had a key trying to open the door. I was glad that I had the security lock on. Called the desk, someone came to the door and apologized. Offered a beer or glass of wine to comp me. At that hour I just wanted rest. $75 charge for my 8lb dog is a bit ridiculous.

After booking this hotel I read some negative reviews which made me concerned. I do not know where they stayed but our stay was perfect. Room clean, beds comfortable, pillows were great, brkfst fine, if u wanted it, coffee was good and hot. The hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly. We stay in hotels once a month and this hotel was a welcome change to most of them.

Great little hotel.

Hotel was clean, cute style lobby and rooms. Breakfast was good beds were comfy, but pillows were not good. I would only wish that they gave a complimentary bottled water like Marriott does. Just my preference.There were a couple of good places to eat. Our favorite Captains Quarters was closed Mondays but we found a place right next door Clarks. It was decent food.
