- Claustrophobic windowless room, though booked very early in the month
- Bathroom items (ex. face tissues) in rusted box which even didn't hold, so the old tissues quickly spread around, and of course the face tissues haven't been renewed, toilet paper not renewed, but new tp stuffed behind toilet pipes etc
- The room was extremely cold, air conditioning blowing hard: the instructions to turn on the heat specified that one must turn ON the air conditioning, which made no sense
- After freezing for an hour or so while pushing the heat indicator to higher and higher, I tried to call the reception, but the room phone had to dial tone, so I started pressing some setting buttons at random until by chance I got the dial tone
- I was told that assistance will arrive, but it did't - it was almost midnight
- So I decided to turn OFF the air conditioning, and somehow slowly some warm air arrived towards morning
This was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever experienced.
The evening and morning persons front desk persons tried to do their job, with little enthusiasm(still they earned the hotel the 2 stars! instead of 0), but at least they didn't make things worse.
I asked for a refund, but it was not possible. Still, they waived the $15 parking fee, which didn't help with the cold we had aquired during the night.
It was Thanksgiving! No thanks to La Rose. All the more sadder.
