Staff/Check-in/Deposit...Beware! I paid for my hotel room in advance via Expedia. Upon Check-in, I was notified there was a refundable Deposit in the amount of $100, then reduced to $50. I then paid $50 Deposit on Credit Card, but was told he could not provide me Receipt (printed or emailed). Hotle Clerk advised me not to worry, as the 'Hold' on CC would be automatically lifted ($50 charge reversed) the next morning when I Checked out. That never occurred, so I called Budget Inn on 2 different days to inquire where my Deposit Refund was? They could not locate $50 charge in their records & stated they would investigate. I requested they return my call or text their findings, which they did not. Frustrated with Budget Inn's lack of response, I disputed transaction with Credit Card company & they are conducting investigation.
