The Barcelo was once the premier hotel in Costa Rica. For the price, it still is by FAR the best. The place has very classic dark wood paneling, a huge lobby, VERY nice grounds. Room are large and feature little amenities consistent with its former status. I've stayed here probably 25 times over the years. However they have some very odd quirks, like Uber Eats can deliver to a ide entrance but not main entrance, You can eat in the lobby, but 24/7 room service will not delver to you there. Their poker rooms closed long ago
