This hotel was centrally located for all of our excursions: our bike tour and then our half day Hallstatt tour and also the concerts at the Mirabell Marvell Marbell Hall.

Julia was TRULY amazing!! So kind and helpful! She gave us excellent advice on where to eat how to get to certain places and most of all was extremely helpful getting us the right room for our needs. She went over and beyond to help with our baggage. She is a GREAT asset to the hotel. Thank you Julia for all you did for us!!

No Guest Mobility Ticket

Firstly, the hotel doesn’t look as grand as internet photos but no big deal I suppose.The decor was rather dated though some guests may prefer this to a more modern ‘boutique’ style hotel. Our room (superior double) was somewhat smaller than expected and overlooked the courtyard carpark and rather scruffy buildings. I always seem to be unlucky with hotel rooms and realise every room won’t have a street view but hoped for better with a ‘superior’ room. The bed and duvet were very comfortable and a second pillow was provided for my wife on request (preferred a higher one) and was always well cleaned discretely. Shower (though in bath) was fine. Couple of criticisms though - no hanging hook in bathroom for clothes and nowhere (bench etc) to place suitcases in room (as mentioned room fairly small and they had to live on floor). Breakfast was very good - Sema and the team were friendly and efficient. We stayed for 7 nights (probably longer than most guests) and it would have been good if there was some variation in cakes etc over the week. Now my biggest gripe is that we weren’t given a Guest Mobility Ticket https://www.guestmobilityticket.at/en/ which would have saved us money (and hassle of buying tickets) travelling to/from airport and within Salzburg (we did check-in online before arrival). Apparently:- ‘It is funded through a mobility surcharge added to the overnight tax’- we pay this so why no card - management decision or incompetent front desk? Other hotels provide them.

Clean hotel, great staff

The staff was helpful and friendly. We were allowed to check in early since our room was ready which was great since it eliminated having to store our bags until later. The room was quiet and the hotel was in a good central location for our sites we wished to see.

Took a trip with my two teenage daughters and we loved this property! The hotel itself was nice and perfect for our budget and our room was very spacious. The staff was super helpful and gave us lots of great info on where to go. What I loved most is that it was a short walk to the old town and also to where the buses left for our tours (we did The Sound Of Music Tour and a half day trip to Innsbruck, both of which I highly recommend). There were also a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There was a shop directly across the street that sold baked goods, sandwiches, fruit and smoothies...so convenient for breakfast on the go or a quick snack to take to the room. If we ever make it back to Salzburg, this is where we'll stay every time!

Our stay at the Hotel am Mirabellplatz was great. It was close to everything we wanted to see in Salzburg and the staff at the front desk gave us a wonderful recommendation for a great restaurant nearby (Johannes Keller.) We will gladly stay here again if we are in the area.

Attic crawl space

Very small overly used room on what appeared to be attic space. I tried to switch to another room but was told nothing was available- which I don’t believe because I saw practically no one the entire time I was there. I am going to find out if this is part of a chain which I will make sure I never visit any of their hotels. Abd the room was really expensive for what it was.

The hotel was lovely, and front desk were kind. Young lady that checked us in was so sweet. Wish they’d offered a complimentary breakfast as the other hotels from this same trip. 50€ for 2 was a lot for breakfast. Beds were not overly comfortable, woke up with a stiff back. The location was great for local buses, ask the front desk for complimentary bus passes, close to our Sound of Music tour pickup and all the shopping just a quick walk away.

The property actually matched the pictures! Our room was spacious and clean, beds were very comfortable. Surprisingly very quiet even though we were facing the main street. The staff were excellent and especially Christina who helped us numerous times. All in all a wonderful experience!
