About this space
This private basement apartment is located in a quiet Bountiful neighborhood. 2 bedrooms with 2 beds. The living room has a pullout couch, apartment sleeps 6 comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen with dining area, full bath. Beautiful property and views. Spacious with private entry. The space is a mother-in-law apartment in the basement of our home and is completely separate from the rest of the home. Note that you will need to go down exterior stairs (or hill) to access the apartment.

The space
Full basement apartment with separate entrance. Homeowner lives above. 1100 Sq. ft. provides lots of room to spread out, with tons of daylight. 10 foot ceilings and full walk-out provides abundant light and openness. Close to hiking and biking trails and the Bountiful Temple. Just 7 mins. to the freeway and 19 mins. to downtown Salt Lake City or the airport. Snowbasin Ski Resort is just 50 minutes to the north, with Alta, Snowbird, Park City and Deer Valley within an hour drive to the south. Close to Lagoon and South Davis Recreation Center, with a park with playground just a 1-minute walk away.

Guest access
The apartment entrance is on the west (back) of the house, basement level. Please note that you will need to go down steps or a grassy hill to access the basement apartment. Access is separate from homeowner and completely private.

This is a clean, spacious & quiet basement apartment w/big windows & view. It was reasonably priced, in a great location & perfect for our needs. There were nice touches, like water bottles in the fridge & microwave popcorn & snacks on the kitchen counter left for us. We loved having a large sectional to relax on. The kitchen was well stocked & had a table that could seat up to 6 people (although, for some reason there were only 5 chairs). Our stay was for a funeral but we spent one evening sitting around the table building puzzles, another watching movies on the big couch & an evening making a favorite family dessert. We also appreciated the heated floors (it was winter & we came from California & Hawaii, so we were not used to the cold). I thought the king sized bed was a bit too firm, but later found an adjustable comfort remote for the bed in the night stand drawer. Wish I had known about this at the beginning of our stay! I tend to sleep hot & was so happy to find a floor fan tucked away in the closet. My daughter & son-in-law said the queen size bed was comfortable. My other daughter said the pull out hide-a-bed in the couch sagged in the middle & hurt her back. Nevertheless, the sectional was large enough that two people could easily sleep on top of each section of the couch comfortably & she slept very well this way. There is space for 2 cars to park. Be aware, there is a long set of stairs down to the apartment & this place does not have a washer/dryer or dishwasher.

The space was super clean and exactly what we needed. The host was super quick to respond, thank goodness! As our plans ended up changing and we had to extend out stay. We were there for 4 nights and we felt right at home. The kitchen and bathroom was fully stocked with everything we needed.

We enjoyed our stay here! It was such a great location, so roomy, and clean. The only drawbacks were the beds. The queen was a hard mattress and not comfortable at all. The king bed was comfy, but extremely noisy to turn over in, and woke sleeping children up. Other than this, a very nice place to stay!Thank you for letting us gather for the holiday!

The hosts were so gracious and very respectful of our privacy. The apartment is so clean, bright and spacious. Keyless entry made for easy check-in. Their home is in a great neighborhood convenient to local shopping and eateries. We were in the area for a medical procedure, so we stayed the week. We were so thankful to not have to be confined to a hotel room.

This was a nice home. Clean, well-stocked kitchen, nice bedrooms. Easy check in and check out process. Only thing that was unsatisfactory was the sofa bed. The mattress was slanted and dirty. Seemed to be acceptable for my child (approx 100 pounds) but probably would not be comfortable for an average adult. The couch itself was comfortable though.

It was furnished nicely. There was a steep set of stairs going down to the apartment. Might be worth mentioning in the listing. There were three females in our party. Only one mirror & it was in the bathroom. I might suggest door mirrors in the bedrooms. Overall, we were happy with it.

Entrance was via 16 steep stairs. The pictures & description did not make this clear. The thermostat was controlled by the host, and it was uncomfortably warm at night. She obviously turned up the AC at night. My husband is hypersensitive to smells, causing an asthma problem. Pillow cases were laundered in strong-smelling fabric softener. The place was beautiful and spacious and very comfortable other than the matters mentioned. These would be easy to correct for future tenants

Nice clean place geeat area. They had some snacks in a basket which was cute also. Easy access to get in and out. Only con was icould hear people walking late at night above me and im a light sleeper. But overall would totally recommended
