Good – but let down by appalling parking charges

A typically good hotel marred by being charged a frankly insane £51 to park for a grand total of 17 hours. This comprised a £32 overnight charge – punchy, but fair enough – and a £19 “day parking” charge as we got there a couple of hours early. This additional cost and the overall total felt like being chiselled. Frankly, I’d rather stay somewhere else than get charged like this again, especially as someone who has been a loyal customer of the hotel for years.

Nice hotel, terrible sleep.

Was sold a super king size bed however ot was just two beds joined together that kept splitting through the night. I then extended my stay for a further 3 nights and was charged more as they upgraded my room and then charged me a new rate.

What a stay. Lovely room, amazing bed. Staff were very polite and friendly. Massive shout out to Paul from the River restaurant. Lovely chap very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying again.

The hotel itself is excellent and facilities are luxurious. The staff were professional and friendly, and the room was large and decadent. Our only criticism was locating and gaining entrance to the hotel due to current roadworks. Parking was excellent, and overall we had a wonderful time
