Hotel stay was decent overall. I’m an IHG member, and while the room was clean and the stay felt safe as a solo traveler, there were a few issues that stood out. One disappointment was the late checkout benefit. Although it’s advertised as part of the IHG membership, I was told no due to the hotel being fully booked. This is the second time I’ve experienced this at an IHG property, so it’s frustrating to see it advertised when it doesn’t seem consistently honored. Breakfast had many choices, including several healthy options, which I appreciated. However, the scrambled eggs appeared to be powdered, and I didn’t enjoy them. Another issue was with the room keys. When I first arrived, my keys didn’t work and I had to return to the front desk. After they were reprogrammed, they worked briefly, but when I went to breakfast and returned, the keys stopped working again and I had to go back downstairs. I also noticed another guest on my floor having the same issue multiple times, so it didn’t seem to be an isolated problem. On the positive side, the room was clean, the heater worked very well (important given the cold weather in Lincoln, California), and the service was generally good. Overall, I’d rate this stay 4 out of 5. A few operational improvements would make it a much better experience.
