The staff were so helpful and polite could not fault anything, easy check in, clean warm room, excellent breakfast. Parking onsite, good WiFi could not fault anything, thank you for a really great experience

Clean, comfortable & welcoming, would stay again

A beautiful Victorian property, well located a short walk from the town. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar was welcoming. We especially loved the breakfast, with hot and cold buffet food, it was wonderful. Good coffee. I loved that recycling facilities were available in the room, that's a first for me. The only negative I could say was that pillow protectors would be a good addition under the pillowcases.

Nice hotel. Lovely staff. Loved that there was free parking. Breakfast was nice. Room was small but comfortable. My main gripe was that the noise levels from the road outside was extremely loud until the small hours of the night, then again from 6am onwards. Also, it was just as well I wasn’t intending to sleep past 8am because the sound of people moving industrial wheelie bins was quite deafening. Rooms need to come with a supply of earplugs for optional use.

Great stay

Had a lovey stay, staff were friendly, room had everything we needed, great location and short walk to restaurants for dinner. Breakfast was great. Only downside was we couldn’t get a drink in the bar as there were no staff but probably for the best.

Lovely friendly hotel. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Room very clean. Bathroom and shower immaculate. I received maid service every day for the duration of my stay. Nice choice for breakfast. All food was hot and tasty. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel with free parking

We arrived quite early but were able to park and give our registration number to the receptionist. It makes a big difference to have free parking, which is unfortunately rate these days. Lovely hotel. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We had the window opened all night and it was very quiet. We had asked for a room with a bath and we got one so we had a nice relaxing bath

Excellent stay, breakfast very good, really nice hotel with great staff and very clean. Only issue for us was the lack of a view from the room- it looked out onto a wall with no outside view. As we booked on the day and for 1 night, we understand we could have got the only remaining room. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Jephson.

So noisy!

Paper thin walls and ceilings/floors meant a very disturbed night. Room felt tired and in need of some tlc. Staff seemed pretty efficient. I’m not sure we would stay here again.
