Shower was clogged and had to wait a while before we could take another one or the bathroom would turn into a pond. Service is OK in the restaurants and that's about it. We booked a suite and it was not clean at all. There was hair all over the bathroom and they ended switching us to a different suite and the room still wasn’t all that clean. The carpets in both suite are very dirty. The couches had a funny smell. They did not clean our room everyday. All they did was just make the bed. The bathroom wasn’t clean. They need to do a better job with the suites.

The Riu Plaza is a wonderful place to stay in Panama City. It is located in a good location for shopping and dining. Our room was on a high floor and provided a panoramic view of the city and the bay. In true Riu fashion, the breakfast was over-the-top with lots of selections. During our visit, we also had drinks in the downstairs bar and dinner at the poolside restaurant. Everything was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. This is a high-traffic area, so keep that in mind when calling for taxis or Uber. Drivers may need extra time to reach this downtown location during peak traffic times.

The hotel facilities are really quite good. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options. Our time spent at the Restaurant and Main Bar in the lobby was also enjoyable. We had an issue with our initial room that took longer than expected to resolve, but once it was, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff were super friendly from start to finish. We got the suite and it was beautiful, will definitely be returning. The gentleman that checks us in, was always hospitable and smiling when he saw us. This will our top pick when traveling to back to Panama!

Possibly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever encountered. I recently got knee surgery and was using a walker or crutches and every staff at this hotel went out of their way to be accommodating. It was almost embarrassingly too much, if that is even possible. Besides that, hotel was in a decent location. It looks like the area was a prime location at one point. But it was still nearby everywhere I needed. Breakfast buffet was really good as others have mentioned. My favorite is their cafe. They make really good coffee and pastries. Prices were very reasonable per American standard. Only issue I had was the AC didn't feel like it got cold enough at certain times throughout the day. But not a deal breaker. I would absolutely recommend if the rates are within your budget.

The Riu Plaza was great for the accomadatioms. We had a little mix up with booking in the beginning but they were really professional about it and got it handled. The Pool area was clean and nice to hang out at. The breakfast included was GREAT. The 3 restaurants were great also and the food from Ibiza outside dining for dinner was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of Rui was perfect and very Uber friendly. The view from the Hotel of on the right floor was excellent as well . I would recommend this spot to anyone coming to visit Panamá City.
