Decent room

Our trip was an overnighter, in town to see a concert at Lieb Field. The hotel was only 5min from the venue. The lobby was pretty impressive with several seating areas, a bar & restaurant. The front desk was very courteous and professional. First impression of the the room (2 queens) was it was on the smaller side with hardly any room on the side of the bed near the a/c unit. Speaking of which, the a/c was excellent. I wouldn't want to be a family of four in std 2bed unit. The beds were firm with nice pillows. TV could have been a little bigger. Some of the programing would freeze up. Carpeting throughout was very nice. Tub looked like it had been neglected during the past remodel. Paint was peeling. Bathroom overall was good. Room was quiet. Onsite parking was ample. The breakfast buffet, for the price, was a little underwhelming and the plates hadn't been washed very well, had to pick through 4 or 5 to find a clean one. Coffee mugs had smudges from an inadequate rinse aid. Food quality was excellent. We did not use the workout center. The business area was in part of tge lobby. Looked like 2 computers and printer/ fax.

One of the worst stays I've ever had. Shows pool on google, there's no pool. Our keys were "demagnetized" 3xs. Does that even happen anymore? Our room was gross. The bathroom was too scary to shower in. The air conditioner banged and clanked all night. Along with soaking the entire floor around the unit. Really unacceptable. And when i talked to the staff, though polite, did nothing.

Bottom of bathtub was pulled up so it had which collected dirt/had orange discoloration. Bathtub drain plugged so it didn't drain water as you showered, causing items in drain to back up into tub. I asked for bathmat, was told they didn't have one. Sound abatement horrible from hall. Was continually woken up by hall conversations, doors slamming, next door neighbors being loud. Not completely hotels fault, just inconsiderate guests but added frustration to the overall experience.

Location of this hotel is fabulous. It is within walking distance to downtown and the farmer's market is fantastic. The hotel is updated and modern. However, the chairs are all straight back so don't expect a comfy sitting area in the lobbies (or the rooms). Very clean, and staff was very friendly.

The condition of the room—particularly the bathtub—was extremely disappointing. It was very dirty, and when I asked the manager to have someone clean it, I was told that no one was currently available. Both the manager and staff were unhelpful and quite rude. I called the reception to report the issue and asked if someone could come up to see the condition of the room. They responded that they were very busy but would send someone shortly. However, after waiting for over an hour, no one showed up. When I eventually went down to the lobby, I found both the receptionist and the man I had previously spoken with sitting idly, using their phones—clearly not busy. After some insistence, the person who called himself the manager reluctantly came with me to the room, where I showed him the visible hair and dirt in the bathtub. His response was that all the rooms are old and not in great condition. This level of service is unacceptable, and the response I received only added to the disappointment of the stay. I went for breakfast in the morning, after I ate, they charge me $16, and said that the breakfast was not included in the room fee, whereas I checked it with the receptionist when I checked in the day before!! Apparently, she forgot to mention it!
