Dead center of the city, with equal noise from the bars below. No elevator to the ground, you must be able to carry your luggage up some steps.

We slept well- This is a central hotel so there are bars and shops everywhere. That being said, we asked for a quite room and despite being opposite a bar there was background white noise of a generator that cancelled any sort of noise outside. Other guests were also respectful and we did not hear them moving around. The rooms appear basic but are very comfortable and clean. I found breakfast to be plentiful and very fresh. The staff are friendly yet efficient. I would be happy to recommend this hotel due to the staff, cleanliness, comfort and location 100%. When I visit Reyjavik again I will stay here.

I stayed at this hotel twice during my two weeks in Reykjavik at the end of May and in early June. I had stayed at a different (a little higher end) Center Hotel last year and really like them so stayed again this year, trying another of their brand. Everything was fine, friendly and helpful staff, okay breakfast, very convenient for walking around Reykjavik. Only a block from the gelato shop and bars and restaurants, easy walk to Bus stop#6 to catch the day tours and the Flybus. I was very happy with my stay.
