Great location. Not more than 50 yards to 5 or 6 really super restaurants. Noisy street talk until about 9pm and then it stopped. Odd shower with large swinging glass door. No grab bars in shower or at the toilet. Beds comfortable. We had 2 carry on suitcases and there was not a good place to set them up. I used two chairs facing each other for mine.

Bei der Reservierung habe ich dazu geschrieben, dass ich bitte einen Raum zur Rückseite des Hauses haben möchte, weil ich schon gelesen hatte, dass es nach vorne hin sehr laut ist. (Was definitiv zutrifft). Leider wurde diese NAchricht nie gelesen. Erst nachdem ich bereits einen Raum zugewiesen bekommen hatte und gefragt habe, ob dieser denn auch nach hinten raus geht, wurde mal ein Blick auf die Notiz geworfen. Natürlich war zu dem Zeitpunkt keiner mehr frei. Bei Extrawünschen empfehle ich also immer, kurz vor der Reise nochmals anzurufen oder eine Mail direkt ans Hotel zu schreiben. Ansonsten war es aber sauber, es gab ein gutes Frühstück und die Lage ist perfekt mittendrin.

Extreme minimums in the room, staff not very helpful nor accommodating. Facility is old, not very clean, close to a noisy bar at night. Good location for dining options however not for bus and other transportation.

For Reykjavik, this hotel was in a prime walking location. Parking is just up the street in a parking garage for about $30 USD per 24 hours. The hotel was clean, the staff were helpful and professional, and our rooms were quiet and comfortable. We went in July 2025 and had a wonderful time.

The room was tiny but efficient. It was clean and neat, but the location was the best thing about the hotel. It was very close to the center of Reykjavik and major attractions. The price was much higher than we have seen in other countries for similar rooms, but everything in Iceland is very expensive.

Having booked two executive rooms a number of months earlier and fully paid. I was told on arrival they were not available and I was downgraded. explanation was very poor and as a special trip the whole holiday started badly - as a regular overseas traveller, I will never use this chain again

We have stayed here many times—it is our “go to” hotel. Unfortunately, I have mobility problems—I walk slowly and use a cane. The circular rotating door at the main entrance presents a real problem because it’s set speed is quite fast and there is no slow down if it hits a slow walker. This time I was struck by the door and almost fell and hit my head. In the process I twisted my back which exacerbated my pain. It was only after I spoke with the desk staff that they told me my room key could be used to open the emergency door. The circulating door is a real hazard and should be attended to ASAP!

The room was clean, but very warm. The window only opened about an inch and there was one fan. Otherwise the room and services were very good, great location. Helpful and pleasant staff.
