Excellent food choices, good customer service and large rooms. Negatives were that to use the leisure facilities you need to bring your own locker padlock, use a swim cap, and that no towels are provided. None of which are detailed prior to your visit!

I’ve stayed in the area before and had always wanted to stay here since their coffee shop looks so nice. Overall, everything was fine — the place was clean and comfortable. However, there were a few small issues: the bathtub drained very slowly, there were no robes provided, and I didn’t get the street-view room I had reserved. The room I received had no view and was quite dark, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the cleanliness and overall atmosphere were good.

Having stayed in several other hotels in Quito before I can say from now on Dann Carlton will always be my choice. Several reasons - reasonable prices, great facilities including gym and pool and the executive lounge, great food options, location of course but most of all the people working there, particularly Giovanni from management and Alex in the bar who have made me feel at home. It’s an excellent hotel that provides very good value for money. The reception staff let the hotel down, seemingly uncertain about my reservation, and not offering me the chance to pay bills on my room. The hotel seems over staffed for what they do. The Europa Cafe was perfect.
