Needs some maintenance but great staff

We have stayed at this hotel now and then for about 20 years. The staff are very nice and the hotel and inside the restaurant. The hotel is starting to need some maintenance. There was water coming out from under the bidet which made puddles of water. We stayed there twice this past week and both bidets had rust colored stains in it and the bathroom doors were in sad shape as well. Internet access was not good in either room we stayed in. Not sure we will stay there again.

Lovely hotel but poor internet

The hotel was clean and comfortable. As far as “service” is concerned, I would say it was pretty much self service. No one offered assistance with our luggage when we arrived, nor when we left. The buffet breakfast area was great and has quite a variety of foods. The most disappointing part of our stay was the poor quality of internet. We had trouble with connecting and staying connected. When mentioning it out check out the person at the front desk said next time we come to mention it again and perhaps they could put a router right in the hotel room. This tells me the management must know there is an issue, and rather than fix it, they try to bandaid the problem only for those who complain.

Just okay. There are some pros (very friendly helpful staff, great breakfast service, free parking, air conditioning). Cons are: outdated property and furniture (though elevators were okay). Bathrooms need remodeling (showers could be improved, you can get burnt with hot water if you don’t read directions), bathroom smells like sewer (maybe due to open drain on bathroom floor), pillows were old. Bed was okay. Good sized room. Not a luxury hotel but okay if you need a place to spend the night. I don’t believe there would be a much better option for the price range.

Although very convenient, needs updates urgently

Hotel was located in a nice area in Pouso Alegre. Unfortunately, the room was not good, dated, wall corners was chipped, bathroom was old, toilet seat was old and was leaking, and mattress was not comfortable. Room that I stayed need urgent updates. On the other hand, staff was a big 5 stars, nice and polite people. Although this hotel is rated the best in the area (4 stars), I would not rate this hotel more than 3 stars. However, I have to say that it is in a very convenient spot for me, that's why I probably will stay there again.
