Amazing hotel, you’d be foolish not to book.

The Trivoli Kopke is an amazing stay. While people generally choose the stay in the old town I would strongly recommend the Trivoli Kopke. The staff are incredibly friendly and serve a tasty port on arrival - always a good start to any stay! The rooms are modern and clean - granted the hotel is very new and it shows! Getting to the old town is easy with a cable car that takes you to the top of the Louis Bridge from the hotel. The pool facilities are good and the views of the old town from the rooms are amazing. And, it was an absolute bargain through the Hotels.com app/site! I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and beautiful design, but service needs attention. The hotel is in a fantastic location — close enough to explore Porto easily, but far enough away to enjoy a sense of calm when returning. The interior design throughout is stunning: contemporary, stylish, and filled with interesting artwork. Our room was modern and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed. The shower has an open design without a door; it didn’t bother us, but it may be worth noting for others. Where the hotel falls short is service. The pool bar was slow and inconsistent, and the main bar, while pleasant, lacked atmosphere and service was again slow — we were even forgotten about a couple of times when settling the bill. At the Sky Bar, the views are wonderful, but service was hit-and-miss with occasional incorrect drinks and long waits. Housekeeping was variable: our room was cleaned only 3 out of 5 days, and turndown was provided on 4 of the 5 days (though once it was offered unusually early, before the daily clean). All of the staff we met were very friendly, but service needs to mature and become more consistent if the hotel is to deliver the exceptional experience its setting and design promise.

Breakfast was fantastic The only thing I found unsatisfying was indoor pool times and I guess you require reservations because for two days it was fully booked so never got to use it Gym was great too I just couldn’t find cloths to clean the machine after using it

We have decided to never return to this hotel. The customer service from the “customer relations” lady was very unprofessional. When we arrived to our room we noticed the AC wasn’t working. We went to inform the front desk but the lady told us to wait in our hot room and see if the tech could fix it. I felt so bad for my 6 month old baby who was fussing from being overheated but the lady had no compassion and proceeded to tell us that if the ac didn’t get fixed they might not be able to give us a room of the same value nor she would be able to refund us the difference for a smaller room, which we ultimately didn’t want because of our baby’s crib. For a moment I was really concerned on what would happen. My husband politely kept asking for another room but she insisted we wait. I don’t think that guests should ever feel concerned about their stay or disappointed on their hotel choice. In addition, we saw how guests were offered water and port wine upon check in. Sadly, it was never offered to us until the bellboy began walking us to our room and finally poured us some.

This is perhaps one of the worst 5-star hotels I've been to. The staff was not particularly warm or helpful. There are so many operational hiccups (e.g., I called room service to order dinner around 6pm. It took me 8-9 attempts before someone picked up the call). The toiletry items were not refilled when they were used up... Yes, the hotel has a nice view and pool. But I would not come back to this hotel if I were to visit Porto again.

Beautiful hotel with superb rooms and very clean. Just keep in mind it’s not that easy to reach, and after a long day exploring the city, the climb up might not suit everyone. I didn’t mind it though. The staff generally are friendly. I felt some of them could benefit from more training. The only downside for me was the pool area. It gets quite busy and there aren’t enough sun-beds for guests.
