Clean room, friendly staff and great location. Hotel is on a limited access road so only real Taxis are allowed to enter to the front of the hotel. If not you must walk your bags down a pretty inclined street to the property.

Execlent locaiton for visiting the main attractions in Porto. Small hotel which is an oasis from the busy Ribeira area. Rooms were clean and spacious for a city break. Staff very friendly and provided great suggestions for food and drink without prompting

Lovely quirky boutique hotel right by the River Doura and in the middle of all of the restaurants and liveliness that area holds. Good continental breakfast included. Short walk via the lower bridge to visit Gaia and the wine cellars on the opposite side of the river. Perfect spot for our 5 day trip. Only drawback was lack of view from our room and some noise from the hotel and restaurants below.

Really like this hotel and the staff are great. Room is lovely. Only issue is driving during the busy summer season in Porto is brutal and finding parking was challenging. If you are without a car, this place is perfect, on a walking street by all attractions and tons of restaurants. But hotel is fantastic

José was the gentleman who we dealt with mostly during our 3 nights there over a week. He was polite and efficient and very friendly! He kindly gave us chocolates upon our departure. The breakfast was beautiful. We very highly recommend Descobertas Hotel. The location was top notch too!

Centrally located boutique hotel in downtown Porto. Just a few meters from the Douro River and tourist restaurants. Only downside is it is quite noisy in the evenings. Clean & modern. Highly recommended.

Property had an industrial boutique feel. Staff were lovely, room was very clean and comfortable. Beds were great! Quirky decor and excellent bathroom. Had a very early checkout so got a shock with cold shower. Rang reception and they switched on the hot water. Would have been good to have known to request this in advance. Breakfast was fresh & plentiful.
