Olympic Inn and Suites is a 1-2 star motel that has undergone a minor facelift. Honestly, the rooms and beds weren’t bad. The hotel was overall clean-ish. The AC could’ve been better, but technically worked. The bathroom and shower were passable. The TV worked fine. Everything was “fine”, nothing was great. It’s like a lot of National Park motels… they know why you’re there and if you are staying at the cheapest option, you’re probably getting something that isn’t worth nearly what you’re paying for, but since it’s close to the Park and relatively safe and clean… you pay for it. I’ve stayed in better, but I’ve also stayed in worse.

Big Spiders

We didn't have high expectations, but it was okay. The beds were a bit firm for my liking and the pillows a bit too thick, but we managed to get a decent night's sleep. The person who checked us in was very helpful and unlocked the pool gate for us. The water was super cold (early August), so the kids only ended up swimming for about 5 minutes. The shower was hot, but the bathroom fan didn’t work so it was a bit steamy. The biggest complaint was the spiders. My daughter is terrified of spiders and there was a big one between the toilet and tub the first night. I disposed of it and the next day there was an even bigger one on the wall next to the sink. She was afraid to go to sleep because she thought one might crawl on her during the night.

Convenient hotel

Hotel is close to Olympic national park and only a few minutes from downtown port Angeles where there are a lot of food options. The room was clean and beds were comfortable (awful pillows, though). The front desk staff was very short with me and rushed me at check in, and the one time I called to ask a question, they were pretty rude.

There was mold on the bathroom both in the shower and on the ceiling. There was something that had been spilled in the nightstand and it was all sticky. And the airconditioner units filters were so clogged that it would not work in the room. And it looked like the room was given the "landlord special "

Unfortunately we had to ask for everything that should have been provided each day. ie: towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, and coffee refills. The ice machine was in the office and couldn’t be accessed if you wanted to head out early on a hike. Our room was on the ground floor by the stairs and was noisy all night long.
