We chose to stay at Novotel expecting a reputable and comfortable experience, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. We had booked an Executive Twin Room, which turned out to be located in a low-grade building that felt more like a two-star property.
While the hotel appears appealing from the outside, once you enter, the rooms are located extremely far from the main area. I was not aware that only the ocean-facing rooms are in the main, higher-standard building. We had to change rooms three times due to a persistent damp smell in most of them, which was very frustrating after a 10-hour journey.
The staff was not particularly cooperative during this process, which added to the disappointment. On a positive note, the restaurant food and breakfast service were excellent — both in quality and hospitality.
Overall, apart from the dining experience, the stay fell far below expectations for a Novotel-branded hotel.
