Dirty sheets and broken elevator

I have stayed herw before with no issue. I decided to remove the sheet that was tucked in to the mattress and when I did near the foot of the bed it revealed a dirty spot where feet would go. I wound up pulling back all of the sheet and found several hairs on it also. When I tried to take the elevator down it didnt move so I opened the door and walked down the stairs instead. Later on when trying to return to room the concierge asked us to not use the elevator as they werent working. Then after we went out for dinner we tried to take the stairs a group of people were gathered in the hallway sitting on chairs blocking the stairs so we took a chance and used the elevator and luckily it worked. The person checking us in was very friendly but unfortunately everything else was not. I have photos I tried to upload but the app wouldnt let me. I will add them if I can. I also emailed Hilton but they only said they would look into it.

The staff was so nice from minute one. I love how the lobby still flecks the original building. Rooms are very comfortable and linens top notch. We have stayed here twice each time more wonderful than the first.

Fabulous property with awesome general room - super inviting and made to spend time with friends while enjying a cocktail. The fireplace however was not working which was a disappointment and our room (224) was quite nosy in the morning which may explain the earplugs on the nightstand...

Parking near the hotel is a crapshoot

We arrived after driving all day and were exhausted. It was a friday night and there was no street parking. I spoke with the front desk and the young man suggested we could park in a parking garge 2 blocks away. He offered no assistance with our bags and we struggled to manage it being so tired. The next day we moved our car next to the hotel. Just be aware.

Historic building, nicely renovated, great downtown location. Room okay, bathroom mirror was mounted so low that it interfered with sink faucet. Internet password expired by morning hours before checkout. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Charming

This is a great hotel in a great location. Walking distance to downtown. It is an older hotel with small rooms but lots of charm. They do supply earplugs in the rooms because you can hear everything but I wear earplugs anyway when I stay at a hotel because I'm a light sleeper. You have to find street parking which can be a little tricky but overall I liked this hotel and will stay there again.

The hotel was very nice as was the customer service. Room was a bit small, but had everything. The shower was a bit grungy and looked like it hadn't had a real scrub-down in a bit, but overall, was a good stay!
