Lovely stay. Only comments are that the bed was too high and the toilet too low in the accessible room and the shower cubicle was a little small. Otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay.

Extra hidden charges make this a rip off

Booked and paid for a dog feiendly room. When we got there, there was an additional charge of £16 per dog, which was not advertised on the Hotels.com site. So not dog friendly tgen! Rhat, on top of taxes that don't appear on the advertised price make this very expensive for a 'stop over'. Come on Hotels.com - be honest up-front about costs and get rid of sneaky, nasty surprises

Good stay shame about the loyalty program

Enjoy the stay . Just disappointing you wouldn’t apply the loyalty stamp for this stay. All because I booked through a different avenue . But still stayed and spent money during my stay. I stay with you for a number of reasons but this has put me off

Convenient and great standards

Lovely convenient place to stay and dog friendly without charging extortionate cost. Great food in restaurant and services. The only issue we found was that in the dog friendly rooms the floor is cork, which makes sense for cleaning. But when you sit up in bed and put your back against the headboard the bed rolls away from the wall!

Fantastic overnight stay

Westmorland hotel is a no brainer as a stopover for the 10 hr journey to the Scottish Highlands. I have not met such friendly and helpful staff in a long time. The room was vast with great views. We walked down to the farmshop and bought some goodies. In the morning we turned left out of the hotel and had a lovely short walk along a quiet lane. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was fresh and tasted amazing. I cannot believe how convenient it is for the M6.

Storm diversion, no problem!

A last minute change of plans due to the severe weather didn't derail anything too hard. An incredibly peaceful stop with great food and the relaxation urgently needed. Not even a power cut during the night was too much of a problem as the comfortable night's sleep just came a little sooner! Would absolutely return here.
